Rick Steves Audio Europe™ Travel App
The Rick Steves Audio Europe™ app organizes Rick's vast library of self-guided walking tours and radio interviews into geographic playlists covering Europe's top sights, travel tips, and cultural insights.
What's new:
- In 4.1.30 (Android only), to fit Google's latest app requirements, the minimum supported version of Android is version 14. Learn more.
- Read updates to Rick's audio tours since their recording! Use the audio tour's yellow Script icon to find these updates when available at the top of the script.
- Lock-screen media controls are unavailable in Android 12 and up.
- In 4.1.5 (Apple only), the app will fully shut down after an hour of non-use and a possible battery-drain bug was fixed.
- 4.1 introduced a bug affecting previously downloaded audio tracks. Apple only. Learn more.
- Added support for newer devices.
- Various bug fixes.
Features:
- This app downloads and stores audio files on your Apple® device running iOS 10.0 or later. The Android version runs on Android 14 or later. No Wi-Fi or cellphone connection is required to listen. (You need a connection to download the audio tracks before you listen.)
- Download the audio files before you go or use a Wi-Fi hotspot in Europe to avoid incurring data charges.
- View and follow walking-tour maps in the app as you listen to the corresponding tour.
- Interview content originates from the "Travel with Rick Steves" public radio program. Self-guided walking tours are excerpted from Rick Steves country and city guidebooks.
