February 9: Cornwall with Helen Kachellek

6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET | REGISTER

Set on a rugged peninsula at the southwest tip of England, Cornwall is classically Celtic. This wild and uncultivated landscape — sprinkled with evocative ruins and quaint seaside villages — has an edge-of-the-world feel, and British guide Helen Kachellek takes us on a thrilling tour of Cornwall's best. We explore Tintagel Castle, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur, and (when the tide goes out) cross the causeway to the dramatic rock island of St. Michael's Mount. After refueling with a Cornish pasty, we dive deep into Cornwall's tin-mining heritage (dating back to biblical times) and salty tales of fishermen and pirates.

February 16: Milano Cortina Olympics: A Cultural Companion with Karin Kibby

6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET | REGISTER

With the Milano Cortina Olympics drawing the world's attention, the Monday Night Travel team turns the spotlight on the often overlooked Northern Italian cultures hosting the Games — from hardworking, style-conscious Milan to the dramatic, Austrian-infused Dolomites and, of course, fair Verona. After touring the world's preeminent opera house in Milan, dancing with a folk band in Kastelruth, frolicking through Europe's largest alpine meadow, and strolling the fresco-lined market square in Verona, we find that Northern Italy offers even more thrills than a snowboarding halfpipe final!

February 23: An American South Road Trip: Arkansas, Mississippi & Tennessee with Dave Hoerlein

6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET | REGISTER

Overseas travel is great, but equally rich cultural experiences can be found in our own backyard. Join longtime Rick Steves guide and mapmaker Dave Hoerlein for a stateside tour bursting with memorable sights, delicious food, and Southern hospitality. We kick it off in Kansas City with a world-class WWI museum and tasty barbecue, before heading to Arkansas to meet Rosie the Riveter at the Crystal Bridges Museum. In Memphis, we discover a diverse melody of Beale Street blues, the sobering National Civil Rights Museum, and Elvis' Graceland. Our road trip ends in leafy Oxford, Mississippi, where we celebrate with legendary tailgating and fall football at Ole Miss.

Together, we discuss the perspective-broadening potential of solo travel, share tips for packing with just a carry-on suitcase, and cover how to manage phones and technology on the road. Along the way, we hear Carolyn's and Lisa's favorite solo travel memories!
